Mother’s Day Gift Guide: Local Favorites from a Busy Mom and Wellness Pro

Of course, we hope Exhale is your go-to for massage gifts and yoga classes this Mother’s Day! Our gift certificates can be used for any service or product we offer—massage, yoga, or one of our handpicked wellness items. Best of all, your gift supports a team of experienced local practitioners who truly listen and care. Moms spend so much time caring for others—let us care for her.

Looking for more ideas? As a mom of four and a wellness provider, I’ve gotten pretty good at picking out thoughtful gifts. If you're shopping small and local this Mother’s Day, here are a few of my favorites:

Princess Nails in Ardmore is my go-to for manicures and pedicuresMaria, Gloria, and Nelly are my ladies! The space is calm and spotless, the attention to detail is next-level, and they include hot stones with every pedicure. A gift certificate from Princess is always a win (you won't find a website for them, but the link above takes you to their Google profile)

Pair it with a gift certificate to Delice et Chocolat, right across the street. Whether she wants a full lunch or just a latte and croissant, their offerings are always a treat.

For something one-of-a-kind, stop by Sweet Mabel’s in Narberth. And just around the corner, Narberth Bookshop is a true hidden gem—perfect for the mom who loves to read.

Looking for a tangible gift that’s sustainable and zero/low-waste? Our friends at SHIFT have thoughtful goodies like shower bombs, rose facial oil, and whipped tallow moisturizer.

For intimate self-care, the waxing services at Modern Image Waxing Spa (right next door to us!) are top-notch. Joanna has been my go-to for years—she’s amazing.

If she loves beautifully scented candles or handmade soaps, check out Kiss My Soul by our own Sara Burns. Her creations are soulful and special.

Want to gift a luxurious spa experience? Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa in Glen Mills has it down to a science. I go a couple times a year for facials with Marissa. From the pre-session mimosas and foot soak to the post-treatment brine room, it’s an experience from start to finish.

And if you’re sending her out that way, pair it with lunch at Terrain. The food is incredible, the ambiance is gorgeous, and the garden shop is a dream to explore afterward.

And of course, there are so many other wonderful businesses in our area. I hope these suggestions help you find something meaningful for the moms in your life. Thank you, as always, for supporting small and local businesses this Mother’s Day!
