Summer Solstice Gentle/ Yin Yoga with Reiki

In Ayurveda, summer carries the fiery, active energy of Pitta; in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is Yang energy- heat, movement, and intensity. In a world that constantly pushes us to "go, do, go!", this season can leave us feeling particularly overstimulated and depleted.

Join us in welcoming the Summer Solstice with an extra-cooling Yin Yoga practice. Yin is a slow, grounding practice that encourages deep release while gently lengthening connective tissues in floor-based postures. Together, we’ll explore ways to cool down and slow down, including a guided journaling exercise for personal reflection.

As with all of Sara Burns’ classes/workshops, this session will include personalized Reiki energy work, offered while students rest in deeply relaxed postures.
