Yin Yoga & Reiki with Sara Burns, CYT
In this practice, you will be supported by the mat and a variety of props as you sink and breathe into gentle, held asanas for 2-10 minutes each. This gives the body time to truly surrender into each pose, unwinding tension patterns in the fascia and guiding the mind into quiet. In Yin yoga, the focus is on passive sinking, allowing the tissues to lengthen slowly.
Reiki (healing energy work) will also be offered by Sara during select longer-held postures such as savasana. This restorative practice is designed to nurture you on every level.
Sound Healing and Gentle Yoga with Mindie Hung
Unwind with gentle movement (led by Sarah Martyn), guided breath, and the healing vibrations of therapeutic sound bowls (led by Mindie Hung, certified vibrational sound healer). These healing tones can help to reduce stress/stress hormones and reduce pain by sending you into the "rest and digest" parasympathetic nervous system response.With consent, bowls may be placed on the body for a more immersive experience.
Bringing Faith Onto Your Mat with Bethany Monday
Yoga is more than movement—it is a path to deep connection, reflection, and faith. In this special class, we will use breath, mindful movement, and stillness to journey inward, creating space for a personal exploration of spirit. This class (led by Bethany Monday, yoga teacher and minister) welcomes all levels and all faiths, offering a meditative practice that encourages each student to bring their unique spiritual perspective to the mat. Alongside yoga, we will incorporate journaling as a tool for reflection, deepening our awareness of how faith and inner wisdom guide our lives. Come as you are, and leave feeling grounded, inspired, and more connected to your path.
